Book Review: Cress by Marissa Meyer

cressBook Review: Cress by Marissa Meyer

Cinder and crew free the newest edition to the Lunar Chronicles; a young girl named Cress, from a satellite orbiting Luna. And of course, everything goes as plan. Ummm, maybe not. Some new relationships develop and a a few secrets are exposed. Bad news? Winter doesn’t come out until the end of 2015. Who wants to give me an ARC? Anyone? Anyone?

I love Marissa Meyer’s sense of humor. There are scenes; much to the amusement of cars next to me, that literally had me laughing out loud. The world she as developed in these novels is creative and you NEVER know what is going to happen next. FYI the audio on this book was very well done.

“I’m beginning to think that maybe great epic romances don’t just happen. We have to make them ourselves”

Also love when Cinder kind makes a fool out of herself trying to talk to Kai and Iko says, “That was painful.”

My thought: I think we’ve all been there.

Recommended Grades: 7 and up
