Book Review: Requiem by Lauren Oliver

requiemBook Review:  Requiem by Lauren Oliver

Book Three finds Lena actively participating in the Resistance and Hana about to marry the young mayor. Neither is very happy, and both are unsure how that will ever change.

I absolutely love the way Lauren Oliver’s mind works. She was able to wrap up parts of the story that I’d forgotten about and end it in a way that left me satisfied even if I was a little disappointed.

Quote…how do you choose just one?… She is a total wordsmith! Think my favorites were: “And you can’t love, not fully, unless you are loved in return.” and “But maybe happiness isn’t in the choosing. Maybe it’s in the fiction, in the pretending: that wherever we have ended up is where we intended to be all along.”
