Book Review: The Obsidian Blade by Pete Hautman

The Obsidian Blade

When Tucker Feye sees what looks like a floating disc on top of his roof, he in curious. When his father vanishes while trying to repair a shingle only to come back altered, he is devastated. Follow Tuckers adventures in this sci-fi series.

This review is hard for me because I’m not sure I will like where this series is headed. I’m willing to give it a try to see, but I’m not sure if it is just misdirection being laid in the first book or some serious agenda pushing. I’ll let you know when I finish the series…although might not pick up the next book for a little while.

No quotes that really stuck out and captured me.

Recommended Ages: Grades 7 and up (although I’m not sure it will appeal to all readers
Genre: Science Fiction
Overall Opinion:  Hesitant average
